Master of Education in Educational Leadership: Admissions

To apply for the online MEd in Educational Leadership with a specialization in Instructional Technology from Methodist University, you’ll need the following:

International Students

Methodist University welcomes international students to apply to our 100% online programs. If you are a non-native speaker of English, a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) will be required.

Transfer Credits

The MEd in Educational Leadership with a specialization in Instructional Technology (MEdIT) accepts up to nine transfer credits.

MU Post Baccalaureate Residency Licensure Students – Students who completed the EDU 5010/EDU 5020 Methods for Instructional Technology Parts 1 and 2 Courses at Methodist University as part of the Post Baccalaureate Residency Licensure Certificate Program as of Fall 2022 (previously numbered EDU 5510 and EDU 5520) can have three credit hours of graduate credit recognized in the MEdIT if they earned a B or higher in the courses.

All other applicants – Only nine credit hours of equitable graduate-level may be transferred as credit toward the MEdIT degree program. Courses may only be transferred to fulfill the Core Course requirements. All Instructional Technology Specialization Courses must be completed through Methodist University.

When to Apply

Apply now or call us at 910.212.4956 to make sure you’re enrolled for your intended start date. There are six start dates per year, and applications are due around three weeks before each date. When you apply, you’ll hear back in about one to two weeks.
